We celebrate 100 years of Sportpark Müngersdorf!
Discover important historical stations around the stadium and learn more about Cologne´s sports history! About Konrad Adenauer, his vision and the implementation of sporting events in the 1920s and 1930s.
The tour starts at the monumental “Abelbauten” on the north side of the RheinEnergieSTADION. Open-air boxing fights were held here almost 100 years ago.
You will find out where an oak tree was planted to win an Olympic gold medal in the 1930s and what the cycling stadium has to do with it. The Jahnwiesen have hosted Cologne´s biggest sporting events with around 200,000 visitors and 20,00 gymnasts
